Meet Dr. Cotton

I’m Dr. Allison Cotton, a board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I’m a proud dog mom to Boots and Luna, an enthusiastic home cook, a lover of languages and music, and a mandala artist. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and dancing with my husband.

In my work with children and adolescents, I place great importance on developing long-term, trusting relationships with families. I take an integrative approach to psychiatric care, thoughtfully considering not only current symptoms but also factors such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, media use, family dynamics, and other social influences that play a meaningful role in a child’s mental health.

I am an educator at heart and taught high school for several years before attending medical school. This experience continues to shape my approach to care. I prioritize education and collaboration, taking the time to ensure that both patients and their families feel informed, supported, and confident in understanding the “why” behind our treatment decisions.

I look forward to meeting you and your child and partnering with your family on this journey toward growth, balance, and wellness.
